Though not on our CSU Rams' roster anymore, Elijah-Blu Smith still gets recognized for the pounding hit he lays on Scotty McKnight of CU. Check out the damage #22 does in the 2009 Rocky Mountain Showdown. With 74 tackles, 42 of them solo, Smith finished second in team tackles in 2009, marking it a career year for the converted free safety. In his senior year, Mr. Smith played his more natural position of cornerback for 7 games, only to be sidelined by a shoulder injury the rest of the season. With that, we salute you, EBS, and wish you good luck in the future. Thank you for destroying Scotty McKnight. It will always be remembered as one of the greatest hits in Ram history.
