43 days and counting…Time to start thinking CSU football.
Our countdown begins with Colorado State's own #43, James Skelton. A 6'2", 235 pound linebacker senior out of Chatfield in Littleton, this former walk-on had 3 starts and played all 12 games his freshman year.
Used primarily as a backup his sophomore year, he experienced a breakout season as a junior. Skelton blew people up after an injury sidelined Michael Kawulok and he finished the year with 91 tackles and a sack.
For 2012, we expect the defensive shift to the 3-4 will free up an already strong linebacking core, enabling them to attack the ball and rack up the stops. Look for Skelton to be a defensive leader who can be counted on for consistent play and leadership.
