NICK STEVENS 2013 CSU RECRUIT
Nick Stevens, a 6'4" 190 pound quarterback from Murrieta, California has committed to Colorado State. As a junior, Nick threw for 17 touchdowns and 1,640 yards. He also showed off some legs by rushing for 917 yards leading his team to a division championship. Right off the bat, Nick demonstrates his quick release, completing passes one right after another in his video. His foot work looks almost flawless. He's got
a quick drop and set up showing off his true pocket quarterback ability. He looks very accurate and with a cannon to squeeze the ball into some tight places. One of the only knocks against this kid is that he looks at his target almost the entire time he's setting up to fire a bullet. I guess I'd like to see some check downs but that can be fixed with some coaching. I like his high release. There are times in his highlight film that he throws the ball at the perfect height for the receiver to grab it. Pretty impressive. Nick also has a deep ball and he's pretty squirrelly but in control on the run. Honestly, after watching these highlights, I'm surprised more teams aren't after this kid. For now, only Colorado State and Utah State are the only two schools to offer him scholarships. I'm just happy to have him committed to be a Ram. Nick Stevens is gonna be good.
