This fastie from Dallas reminds me of another speedster from Dallas that was on CSU's roster for two years except this one is bigger and hopefully will attend class to remain eligible to play more. When I watch D'arric's video, it doesn't give me a really good idea of what kind of DB we would be getting but he is definitely a great return man. It does show he's got some hops and he knows how to square up on someone to drive them into the ground but I want to see how well he can cover someone; one of the biggest fails CSU's defense has had for years. Another thing it shows is his speed, of course. On Rivals he's listed as running a 4.4 40 but on his tape it says 4.34. Who knows. Either way it's faster than me or anyone who reads this. I like his size. Pretty big for a DB and when he gets into a college workout, he could add another 5 pounds of muscle. Thomas has nice height as well. In his tape, he's got some nice examples of stepping in front the receiver to make a pick by using his length. But, some of the plays look like a sorry throw from the opposing quarterback. You be the judge. Either way, a nice addition to a struggling defensive secondary.

Thank you Ramifications for providing a look at our recruits, please keep it up. Not sure about his coverage skills, but looks like he has nose for the ball and isn't afraid to hit somebody. With those moves, maybe should get a look at WR given our need there. Looks pretty good all in all.
