JORDON VADEN 2012 CSU RECRUIT

Height 6'2"   |   Weight 175   |   Wide Receiver   |   4.7 40-time

Through the midst of these chaotic two weeks of Colorado State news, it seems that recruiting is an un-phased variable and CSU manages to pick up new recruits. On December 5th CSU got a commit from wide receiver Jordon Vaden from Brighton, Colorado. After watching some of his highlight film, the kid has some pretty good hops. Not quite the speedster that I would like to see as targets for Grayson but maybe because he so lengthy, he looks slower than he is. He adjusts nicely to the ball and he's got some shifty moves to make defenders miss. Overall I think it's a pretty good pick up for a lack luster CSU receiving corp. He's got two sweet kickoff returns starting at about 1:30 in the film. He's all over the field making people look like jerk offs. Can't wait to see him in green and gold.

  1. He plays faster than 4.7,looks good

  2. I think some extra height and size at the position will help out too. So I'd take a touch less speed on one guy. He looks like he can tumble with the CB's a bit.

  4. I think I saw something on MaxPreps or ESPN about this guy. I thought he was going to a PAC 12 school. ESPN reports he has given a verbal to the Rams. Let's hope its correct because he looks like a pretty good receiver. I don't why those recruiting websites aren't consistent.

  5. The recruiting websites aren't consistent because they're not officially affiliated with the Ram athletic department or NCAA. You can only count on the word of a high school student who can be hard to get ahold of. Not a done deal until signing day when the AD releases a statement.

I do hope Vaden makes it here next year and I think he could play right away as Grayson will need all the WR help he can get. Vaden, Gillmore, and Coffman could make for a nice set of targets someday.

  6. Vaden has some talent and CSU can to take him to the next level. Coach Mac has another huge coach to announce before the recruits start coming in. Just like the last coach change...more stars and some big stars are going to come in the next week. watching with a :)

Checkout this video from the NFTC OREGON. Vaden clearly outplays KENNY LAWLER A TOP WEST COAST RECRUIT. Also destroyed (twice) a safety that committed to CU. Shows great route running and explosion out of his breaks.

    CHECK IT OUT.

    1. Yes I've watched this video. Him and teammate Tevin Johnson did a great job at this camp. Both go really low amounts of reps because of the Political system at those camps but when they got their reps they exploded on the seen.

  8. This is only Vadens Junior Year Highlights. Still hasn't released a senior Highlight. You should look for it and post when released. Great player. Played on a very poor team with very poor coaching. Tevin Johnson and Brandon Henrie were the only other two competitive players. I've watched PVHS football for a while now and those other two kids might be the most under values players in the state. All three made 1st team all state.
TEVIN JOHNSON might be the best linebacker in the state. If he was 6'+ he would be a top 5 in state player. Incredible instinct and explosion.
BRANDON HENRIE a tiny kid but is without a doubt the best cover corner then the state. Amazing quickness and feet. Has room and potential to grow into his size with his seemingly enormous feet. GOOD THING HE IS CONSIDERING WALKING ON.
