CRAIG LEONARD 2012 CSU RECRUIT

A few days ago Fort Collins newspaper the Coloradoan reported hometown Craig Leonard has given J-Mac a verbal commit. Doing some research on ESPN, Rivals and MaxPreps, gave me no conformation of this but figured what the hell, lets do a recruit profile on him anyway. The very first thing I see when I watch his film is his size. He's a big boy and pretty mobile, even coming of a knee injury his junior year in high school. His senior year he passed for 2,563 yards and 26 touchdowns. He attended Jireh Prep in North Carolina last year and led them to an 8-3 record.

He's definitely a pro-style pocket quarterback and it looks like he has a pretty strong arm. Craig has great vision and has the ability to sense pressure to escape at the right time. At 40 seconds in you'll see what I mean. He's got a nice touch on the fly routes but I would like to see more over the middle throws to see if he can zip it in. There are some examples of that but not as many as I would like to see. Do to Craig's size he's a challenge to bring down. He looks like a pretty good addition.
